Step-by-Step Guide

How to build your first schedule.

Five steps. Takes about two minutes the first time, and thirty seconds every time after. No spreadsheets. No back-and-forth emails.

1
Step 1

Set up your conference

Enter your conference name, select the sport and season year, and choose how many years your schedule should cycle. One year for a single season, two or three for a full rotation cycle.

What you'll fill in
  • Conference name (e.g. "Big Ten Conference")
  • Sport — choose from 32 Fall, Winter & Spring sports
  • Season year (e.g. 2025–26)
  • Cycle length: 1, 2, or 3 years
2
Step 2

Add your teams

Type in each school or team name. Optionally split your conference into up to 4 divisions with fully custom names. The team count badge updates live so you always know how many you've added.

Team options
  • 2 to 32 teams supported
  • Optional: split into 1, 2, 3, or 4 named divisions
  • Division names are fully customizable
  • Teams can be added or removed at any time before generating
  • Divisions automatically balance team assignments for fairness
3
Step 3

Select your meet types

Choose which formats to include in your schedule. You can mix and match — a typical conference might use Dual Meets for the regular season and add a Tournament at the end.

Available meet formats
  • Duals (1v1) — head-to-head, home & away tracked
  • Tri-Meets — 3-team pod, 1 host, 2 visitors
  • Quad Meets — 4-team pod, 1 host, 3 visitors
  • Mixed Dual/Tri — pairs + tri for odd team counts
  • Mixed Tri/Quad — tris + quad for maximum coverage
  • Mixed Dual/Quad — one quad pod + remaining pairs
  • Invite / Tournament — full bracket builder with Round Robin, Single Elim, Double Elim, 3-Game Guarantee, Swiss System, and Pool Play + Bracket

Step 4

Configure rules & dates

Set your scheduling rules — play format, coverage goals, host rotation, home/away balance — then enter your season dates, timing pattern, and any blackout dates to skip.

Key rules you control
  • Play format: Once, Twice Random, Twice Back-to-Back, Random, Div 2×/Cross 1×, Cross 2×/Div 1×, Div 1× Only, 3-Game Series (Division), 3-Game Series + Crossover
  • Coverage goal: Everyone Once, Maximize Unique, Best Effort
  • Host rule: Rotate, Minimize, Strict Max 1/Year
  • Home/Away balance & max consecutive home meets
  • Divisional & crossover timing: Beginning, Mixed, or End of season
  • Timing patterns: Interval, Custom Weekdays, Alternating Week A/B, Manual dates
  • Multi-year rollover with same-weekday or same-date rules
  • Shuffle seed for repeatable or varied schedule outputs
  • Blackout dates & preferred meet day of week
  • Team Exclusions — mark pairs of teams that must never be scheduled against each other (shared facilities, same district, travel conflicts)
  • Crossover Opponent Rules (2+ divisions) — in Allow Only mode, each team plays only the cross-division opponents you select; in Block These mode, specific cross-division matchups are removed
